Alonso feliciteert Alguersuari: "Ik wens hem het beste"

Renault-coureur Fernando Alonso is vanaf komend weekend niet meer de enige Spanjaard in de Formule 1. De tweevoudig wereldkampioen krijgt gezelschap van zijn jonge landgenoot Jaime Alguersuari. Alonso maakt zich niet druk om de jonge leeftijd of de zeer geringe ervaring van Alguersuari.

Tegenover persbureau EFE zegt de Renault-coureur over zijn nieuwe collega: Alle tekenen zijn dat hij zeer goed is. Als je aangesteld wordt om in de Formule 1 te racen komt dat omdat je goed bent, dus niemand hoeft zich zorgen te maken. Ik ben voorstander van zo jong mogelijk beginnen. Ik feliciteer Jaime en wens hem een prachtige toekomst.
