Ecclestone betwijfelt of Massa dit jaar nog in actie komt

Bernie Ecclestone weet niet of Felipe Massa dit jaar nog aan de start van een Grand Prix verschijnt. Zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher in inmiddels aangesteld als vervanger voor de Ferrari-rijder. Massa is er minder ernstig aan toe dan in eerste instantie gedacht, maar racen in 2009 is volgens Ecclestone onwaarschijnlijk.

Het is moeilijk te zeggen of hij in de positie komt om dit jaar nog aan de competitie deel te nemen. Voor volgend jaar weet ik het niet, maar ik betwijfel dat we Felipe dit jaar nog in actie zullen zien. Het positieve nieuws is dat zijn oog weinig tot geen schade heeft opgelopen, waar wel voor gevreesd werd, aldus Ecclestone.
