Grosjean past stoeltje bij Renault, voert proefstarts uit

Officieel is nog niets bevestigd, maar het is een publiek geheim dat Romain Grosjean bij Renault de opvolger wordt voor de aan de kant geschoven Nelson Piquet. De vraag is alleen wanneer de GP2-coureur zijn debuut in de Formule 1 kan maken.

Renault is namelijk nog geschorst voor de Europese Grand Prix en maandag dient het hoger beroep tegen die straf. Mocht de Franse renstal uitgesloten blijven van deelname in Valencia, dan rijdt Grosjean daar nog gewoon in de GP2 en debuteert hij pas in België in de Formule 1.

Grosjean heeft tijdens een bezoek aan de fabriek in Enstone al een stoeltje gepast en op maat laten voor de R29, meldt Autosport. Tevens voerde hij tijdens een rechte lijn-test enkele proefstarts uit om zich voor te bereiden op zijn Grand Prix-debuut.
