Kleine meerderheid fans gaat BMW missen in de Formule 1

BMW stopt eind 2009 met de Formule 1 en 55 procent van ruim 2400 stemmers op de F1Today.nl-poll gaat de Duitse autofabrikant in de koningsklasse van de autosport missen. BMW Sauber stond in 2006 voor het eerst aan de start en scoorde dat seizoen 36 punten. Sindsdien ging het steeds beter en werden de doelen bereikt, tot dit jaar waarin de renstal er niet aan te pas komt. Canada 2008 is tot nu toe de enige zege van BMW Sauber.

Deze week gaat de poll over Bavaria City Racing 2009. Ongeveer 550.000 toeschouwers stroomden toe naar het evenement in de straten van Rotterdam en genoten van demonstraties van onder andere Fernando Alonso en David Coulthard.
