Giancarlo Fisichella geeft toe: "Ik was nerveus in Monza"

Giancarlo Fisichella deed het tijdens zijn eerste race voor Ferrari iets beter dan zijn voorganger als vervanger van Felipe Massa, Luca Badoer. Fisichella reed niet helemaal achteraan, maar indrukwekkend was het ook niet wat hij liet zien.

Hij had last van zenuwen, iets waar hij dit weekend in Singapore geen last van hoopt te krijgen. Ik voel me meer op mijn gemak, meer vertrouwen, meer ontspannen. Monza was een moeilijk weekend voor me, ik was vanaf vrijdag eigenlijk het hele weekend nerveus.

Maar nu na een hele race, veel werk in de simulator in de fabriek en een rechte lijn-test op Fiorano zit ik veel lekkerder in mijn vel. Ik vind Singapore een leuk circuit, meer downforce is beter voor me. Ik heb nu meer vertrouwen dan in Monza.
