Massa houdt goed gevoel en pijnlijke nek over aan test met F2007

Felipe Massa gaat met een prettig gevoel richting de Kerst. De Ferrari-coureur kroop deze week voor de tweede maal sinds zijn zware ongeluk in de kwalificatie voor de Hongaarse Grand Prix achter het stuur van een Formule 1-auto. De Braziliaan reed gedurende twee dagen in totaal negentig ronden met een twee jaar oude F2007 op het circuit van Mugello.

Massa: Hoewel ik in een compleet andere auto reed dan waarmee we volgend jaar aan de start verschijnen, was het gevoel perfect en dat geeft me hoop voor komend seizoen. Ik zat al rap in een goed tempo en aan mijn rijstijl is niets veranderd ten opzichte van hoe ik voor de crash reed. Ik wil Ferrari bedanken voor dit presentje, wat samen met mijn pasgeboren zoon voor een zeer speciale Kerst zorgt dit jaar.

Tegen persbureau AFP verklaarde de Braziliaan dat het toch niet helemaal vanzelf ging. Ondanks mijn vele training in de afgelopen maanden voelden sommige spieren nog wat slaperig aan. Ik had wat last van mijn nek, met name in de snelle bochten die van Mugello een van de zwaarste circuits maken. Voor de rest voel ik me goed.
