'Wehrlein moest uitwijken voor plots remmende Rosberg'

Over het incident tijdens een promo-dag van Mercedes-Benz bij het trainingskamp van de Duitse voetballers waarbij twee mensen gewond raakten zijn ondertussen wat meer details bekend. Formule 1-rijder Nico Rosberg reed voorop en ging opeens hard in de ankers voor een bocht. Dat had DTM-coureur Pascal Wehrlein niet verwacht waardoor hij uit moest wijken en twee omstanders schepte.

Dat verklaarde een ooggetuige tegenover TZ. "Ik heb precies gezien wat er gebeurde. De twee auto's reden een paar meter bij elkaar vandaan tegen de 80 kilometer per uur. Plotseling trapte Rosberg hard op zijn remmen. Dat verraste Wehrlein compleet. Rosberg leek niet op de hoogte van hoe het parkoers liep. Wehrlein zwenkte naar links om Rosberg te ontwijken en kwam daardoor in aanvaring met twee omstanders."
