Nico Hülkenberg: "Williams komt nog snelheid tekort"

Ferrari en Red Bull Racing steken momenteel boven de achtervolgende groep uit. Dat denkt Williams-coureur Nico Hülkenberg. Volgens de Duitser bestaat de tweede groep uit McLaren, Mercedes GP, Renault en zijn eigen team, al bekent hij dat het niet vanzelf gaat. Het is moeilijk. We kunnen de snelste tijden niet evenaren, maar we liggen niet ver achter.

Hij vervolgt: Ik denk dat Ferrari en Red Bull Racing overal net even iets sneller zijn. Dan valt een gat naar teams als McLaren, Mercedes GP, Renault en wij, maar het is lastig in te schatten. We hebben wat runs met veel en weinig brandstof gedaan om te voelen wat de auto doet wanneer de balans verandert. Ik wil niet denken aan waar de rest mee bezig is, ik concentreer me op mezelf. Wij hebben een goede auto en een goede motor, de potentie is aanwezig. Aan ons de taak om te begrijpen hoe we daar alles uit halen.
