Mercedes verlengt contract met kledingsponsor Puma

Het team van Mercedes en partner Puma zijn een nieuwe verbintenis overeen gekomen. De twee werken sinds 2012 samen en per 1 januari 2015 gaat het nieuwe contract in. Puma zal ook de komende jaren de teamleden van Mercedes van kleding voorzien, alsmede de merchandise-lijn van de Duitse renstal verzorgen.

Mercedes-motorsportbaas Toto Wolff: "Puma is al drie seizoenen lang een belangrijke partner voor ons. Ze hullen onze coureurs en crew in de lichtste en meest innovatieve sportkleding. Dat is een belangrijk onderdeel in een omgeving die continu evolueert en in een uitdagende industrie als de Formule 1. Het doet ons deugd dat we deze relatie nog jaren voort mogen zetten."

Puma-directeur Bjørn Gulden: "We zijn verguld dat we onze samenwerking met het Formule 1-team van Mercedes continueren. Puma heeft een rijke geschiedenis in de autosport en we overleggen veel met onze partners om onze producten continu te innoveren en onze teams te helpen bij het leveren van de best mogelijke prestaties. We zijn trots op Mercedes en kijken uit naar de volgende fase in onze relatie."
