Furbatto in het kielzog van Stella naar McLaren

Het team van McLaren verwelkomt deze winter weer een aantal nieuwe krachten. Coureur Fernando Alonso neemt engineer Andrea Stella mee van Ferrari en naast Stella is nog een Italiaan onderweg naar Woking. Luca Furbatto keert terug naar McLaren, schrijft Leo Turrini op zijn blog.

Furbatto had al een lange carrière bij McLaren achter de rug toen hij in 2011 besloot om te verkassen naar Scuderia Toro Rosso. Bij het tweede team van Red Bull belandde de ontwerper dit jaar op een zijspoor. Voor 2015 keert hij terug op het oude nest.

McLaren staat in de steigers. De Britse renstal heeft de voorbije twee seizoenen geen enkele Grand Prix gewonnen. De reünie met Honda en Alonso moet als katalysator voor een beter 2015 dienen. Op de achtergrond is ook de organisatie in Woking geherstructureerd.
