McLaren past Honda's MGU-K systeem aan

McLaren zal deze week Honda's MGU-K systeem aanpassen met eigen onderdelen. In de tussentijd zal het Japanse bedrijf werken aan een oplossing om het euvel dat het team vorige week teisterde te verhelpen.

Het probleem met de MGU-K stak op alle vier dagen haar kop op en resulteerde erin dat Jenson Button slechts 21 rondjes kon afleggen in Barcelona. Fernando Alonso moest met gereduceerd vermogen rijden om een herhaling van de problemen te voorkomen.

Bronnen rondom het medium Autosport geven aan dat er geen 'snelle oplossing' bestaat voor het MGU-K probleem en dat de andere teams ook last ondervonden van de MGU-K toen ze de V6-motoren vorig jaar voor het eerst probeerden.

De MGU-K met foute pakking zit achter de rijder. Wil hij daardoor vergiftigd worden, dan heeft hij met 150km/h achteruit gereden.

    Misschien ligt het hieraan waardoor alonso onwel werd, als we geloven dat alonso vergiftigd werd, hoop dat er meer duidelijk komt over de oorzaak, heel geheimzinnig.

      Ik denk dat die kans vrij reeël is dat Alonso is vergiftigd door dampen. Het past in het plaatje dat McLaren nog steeds niet bekend heeft gemaakt wie er morgen achter het stuur zit en de grote problemen die maar bleven aanhouden bij McLaren. En nu maken ze bekend dat ze de MGU-K gaan aanpassen?

      Het kan toeval zijn allemaal, maar dit zaakje stinkt.

      Button rijdt morgen..., en die MGU-K is al de hele vorige week een probleem al ver voor het ongeluk. Trouwens waar ik nog niemand over gehoord heb... Hebben mensen de beelden van Honda uit Valencia nog op hun netvlies staan? Daar zie je Alonso en Button bij elke keer op het gas gaan uitbreken en de auto opvangen omdat de Honda zijn vermogen er veel te abrupt uit gooit. Kan dit niet mede oorzaak zijn van het opeens rechts afslaan?

    Maar als andere teams ook hetzelfde probleem hadden vorig seizoen, kan Honda dan niet even aan Mercedes vragen hoe zij dit hebben opgelost? Of is het naïef van me om te denken dat andere teams graag een competitieve tegenstander hebben in plaats van een faal-team?

    Honda is inderdaad raar bezig. Ik versta dat niet. Waarom bouwden ze dan geen interim wagen om alles te testen. Ze staan nog nergens. Echt niet goed.

    Goh, nooit geweten dat er zoveel mensen bij McLaren Honda werken.
    En ze hebben allemaal verstand van de MGU-K problematiek.
    En ze mogen uit de school klappen op social media.

    Apart.

    Maar tegelijk toch geweldig dat deze mensen precies schijnen te weten wat er aan de hand is.
    Probleem bij dit team wordt vast en zeker binnenkort opgelost dankzij deze knappe koppen.
