Perez vastberaden om beste F1-seizoen te draaien

Sergio Perez heeft zich - ondanks de matige winter van Force India - het doel gesteld om zijn beste seizoen in de Formule 1 te draaien. De Mexicaan heeft nog niet in de nieuwe VJM08 gereden en kruipt alleen aankomende zondag achter het stuur van de auto voor het nieuwe seizoen begint.

"Het is heel simpel: ik wil mijn beste seizoen in de Formule 1 draaien. Afgelopen jaar moest ik wennen aan het nieuwe team en de nieuwe omgeving, maar ondanks alles hebben we een paar indrukwekkende resultaten neergezet. Ik wil daarop voortborduren en samen met het team nog beter presteren in 2015."

"Mijn honger voor succes is niet afgenomen en het team heeft dezelfde instelling. We weten welk pad voor ons ligt en zullen hard werken omdat onze concurrenten stappen voorwaarts hebben gemaakt. We zijn bereid alles te geven om een sterk seizoen te draaien."

Perez geeft aan dat het enorm belangrijk was voor Force India om vorige week met de auto van vorig jaar te testen: "Het was cruciaal om de banden voor het nieuwe seizoen uit te proberen, dat helpt ons in de voorbereiding voor de races. Maar er is nog steeds veel werk dat gedaan moet worden, zeker wanneer de nieuwe auto deze week arriveert."
