Ferrari: "Combinatie Vettel en Raikkonen perfect"

Ferrari-teambaas Maurizio Arrivabene kan zijn geluk niet op met het rijdersduo dat de Scuderia voor komend seizoen geformeerd heeft. Sebastian Vettel volgde Fernando Alonso op en verdedigt samen met Kimi Raikkonen de eer van de Italiaanse renstal in 2015. De Duitser en de Fin hebben uiteenlopende karakters, maar kunnen het toch uitstekend met elkaar vinden.

Dat stelt Arrivabene. "Seb en Kimi hebben verschillende persoonlijkheden. Vettel is een echte Ferrari-fanaat. Raikkonen is iemand die het liever niet over stomme dingen heeft en het graag serieus houdt. Het kan met hem twee kanten op. Of hij schudt na vijf minuten je hand en gaat ervandoor, of je bent uren met hem aan het praten en krijgt na afloop een knuffel."

"Volgens teamleden is dat vreemd, maar coureurs zijn vaak vreemde vogels. Kimi is een goede kerel en een fantastische coureur. Sebastian is anders, super professioneel. Hij herinnert me aan die andere Duitser die begin dit millennium voor Ferrari racete. Ik was onder de indruk van zijn concentratie en hoe gedetailleerd hij aantekeningen van de auto maakt en bespreekt."

"Sebastian is al volledig geïntegreerd in het team, hij maakt voor 120 procent onderdeel uit van de Ferrari-familie. Hij is ook heel grappig. Hij houdt beide benen op de grond, hij doet niet te moeilijk en het verbaast me niks dat hij al vier titels op zijn naam heeft geschreven. En Kimi is de enige wereldkampioen na Michael Schumacher. Vettel en Raikkonen vormen de perfecte combinatie."

Als er een team bestaat die van grote toegevoegde waarde is om weer terug wat meer bovenaan te gaan zien dan is dat Ferrari wel. Als ze kunnen strijden met Williams achter Mercedes zou dat al een hele grote stap in de goede richting zijn.

Als er een team bestaat die van grote toegevoegde waarde is om weer terug wat meer bovenaan te gaan zien dan is dat Ferrari wel. Als ze kunnen strijden met Williams achter Mercedes zou dat al een hele grote stap in de goede richting zijn.

Voor de spanning en voor de races zou dat alleen maar goed zijn. Ik verheug me ook weer op een Raikkonen die zich lekker en comfortabel in zijn auto voelt. Dan komt de snelheid vanzelf wel weer terug denk ik. Ben benieuwd hoe hij het gaat doen ten opzichte van Vettel.

  Ik denk dan snel aan Loeb, Kristensen, Alonso, en Hamilton. Als je dan kijkt naar oval races dan wellicht Jimmie Johnson ook nog (in de indycar steekt er niemand echt bovenuit).

  Denk Loeb inderdaad beste coureur van allemaal. Die man kan volgens mij met alles wat 4 wielen heeft kampioen worden. Voor de rest erg moeilijk. F1 kent een brede top waar de verschillen marginaal zijn.

  Loeb is natuurlijk goed, maar in de touringwagens valt het wat tegen.
  
  Denk ook dat Ogier een hele goede is, maar die moet zich ook nog bewijzen buiten de rallywereld

  Betreft Loeb wil ik dit seizoen wel even zien wat die kan. Vorig jaar eerste jaar in het WTCC, nu weet hij wat hij kan verwachten. Ben heel erg gecharmeerd van Loeb, maar vlak Lopez ook zeker niet uit voor WTCC kampioen. Deze vraag is gewoon lastig om te beantwoorden, de meeste F1 coureurs hebben alleen maar formule wagens gereden en geen andere klasses. Wie weet zijn ze wel helemaal niks in een WEC of rallywagen. In DTM was het ook lastig voor een Frentzen, Hakkinen, Alesi en R Schumacher

Met de vorige coureurs was ook niet mis, integendeel zelfs. Het blijft gewoon wachten tot het technisch departement van Ferrari de zaakjes op orde krijgt.
