Renault heeft meeste tokens over voor verbeteringen

De Renault-motor lijkt ook dit seizoen niet te kunnen tippen aan de superieure Mercedes-krachtbron. Daniel Ricciardo is zelfs al bezig aan zijn tweede motor van het seizoen en dat terwijl er dit jaar maar vier motoren gebruikt mogen worden. Er is genoeg ruimte voor verbetering bij de Franse motorleverancier.

En die ruimte voor verbetering is ook beschikbaar. De motorleveranciers kregen voor dit seizoen 32 gebieden voorgeschreven waarop zij de motoren gedurende het seizoen mogen verbeteren. Deze verbeterpunten noemt men tokens. Op dit moment heeft Mercedes de meeste verbeterpunten doorgevoerd, terwijl men bij Renault nog de meeste tokens over heeft.

Een overzicht van de beschikbare tokens per motorleverancier:
Renault 12 van de 32 beschikbaar
Ferrari 10 van de 32 beschikbaar
Honda 9 van de 32 beschikbaar
Mercedes 7 van de 32 beschikbaar
