Contractverlenging Hamilton duurt wat langer

Lewis Hamilton verkondigde begin vorige week dat hij hoopte om voor de Maleisische Grand Prix een nieuwe overeenkomst met Mercedes af te sluiten. Het raceweekend op Sepang verstreek echter zonder nieuws over contractverlenging voor de regerend wereldkampioen.

Het duurt wat langer, waarschijnlijk deze week tekent Hamilton bij voor Mercedes, liet Toto Wolff weten tegenover de Duitse afdeling van Sky. "Het neemt vermoedelijk nog een paar dagen in beslag, maar ik ben optimistisch gestemd", aldus de motorsportbaas van Mercedes.

Hij vervolgde met: "We willen de huidige wereldkampioen Formule 1 langer aan ons binden en hij ziet een langer verblijf bij ons ook wel zitten. Contractonderhandelingen slepen zich soms voort naarmate je in de details treedt, maar we gaan vooruit."

Misschien moeten ze jou bij jouw werkgever ook maar eens vervangen? Je zit immers onder werktijd steeds op fora te reageren en je bent veel duurder dan een jongere die echt gemotiveerd is.

      De hele reden dat Max Verstappen nu al F1 rijd is dat hij voor de neus van Mercedes is weggekaapt door Red Bull....anders had hij in de opleiding gezeten daar namelijk.
      En nu had hij de garantie op een stoeltje.

      Maar je reactie is leuk bedoeld hoor ik snap het.

      Dat was bij de overstap van Mclaren naar Mercedes in 2013/2014 ook het geval.
      Trouwens zijn de centen vaak het grootste struikelblok bij contractonderhandelingen , bij vrijwel alle coureurs.
      Coureurs gaan vaak overstag als het team een megabod doet.
      Maar dat is ook helemaal raar dat het een centenkwestie is , vrijwel alle ( gewone) werknemers in Nederland vinden de centen het belangrijkste in een contract

      @sailor: De overstap naar Mercedes leverde Hamilton minder op . Hij kon bij McLaren meer verdienen.

      Waylon,

      Bij Mercedes had Hamilton meer vrijheden dan bij Mclaren.
      Zo kon hij zich bezig houden met persoonlijke sponsoren en merchandising dat mocht bij Mclaren zeer zeker niet.
      Hamilton heeft direct na het tekenen ook samen met Simon Fuller een bedrijf opgericht
      om zijn persoonlijke sponsoring en merchandising uit te baten , dit levert Hamilton ook weer vele miljoenen op.
