Manor laat problemen met 107 procent-regel achter zich

Manor hoeft zich dit seizoen geen zorgen meer te maken om de 107 procent-regel. Dat zegt Roberto Merhi. Volgens de Spanjaard heeft het team de afgelopen twee weken enorme stappen genomen, en is het gat richting de top definitief geslonken.

"Ik ben erg tevreden met het werk wat wij hebben bereikt. Met de zachte band zitten wij ruim binnen 107 procent ten opzichte van Mercedes. Ons doel is binnen 105 procent van de top te komen, iets dat steeds dichterbij komt."

De Spanjaard laat daarnaast weten dat de huidige auto van Manor een kleine upgrade krijgt voordat het team overstapt naar de 2015-versie: "Wij hebben de ruimte om ons te verbeteren en het gat richting de rest te verkleinen, hoewel er een duidelijk plafond is voor ons kunnen op dit moment."
