Ricciardo gaat voor 'raketstart' in Bahrein

Daniel Ricciardo hoopt bij de start van de Grand Prix van Bahrein beter van zijn plek te komen dan vorige week in China. Ricciardo beleefde toen een dramatische start, waarbij hij maar liefst tien plaatsen verloor. In Bahrein moet het anders.

"Wanneer je slim bent, dan laat je zoiets snel achter je", vertelt Ricciardo. "Ik hoop een goede start te hebben en mensen in te kunnen halen, waarbij ik dan denk van 'wow', dat is anders dan vorige week."

"We hebben zes of zeven proefstarts gemaakt, en we doen er nog een paar voorafgaand aan de race. Om eerlijk te zijn, valt er niet veel te oefenen. Ik moet proberen om iets bewuster te starten, in plaats van op gevoel. Ik ga voor een raketstart."
