Nieuwe updates Lotus 'kunnen ogen openen'

Lotus is van plan om updates mee te nemen naar de volgende twee races in Spanje en Monaco. Volgens Deputy Team Principal Federico Gastaldi kunnen deze de ogen van andere teams openen.

De equipe uit Enstone heeft een grote stap gezet afgelopen winter, hoewel in China pas de eerste punten werden gepakt. Volgens coureur Romain Grosjean is niet alleen de motor verbeterd, ook het chassis is een stuk sterker ten opzichte van afgelopen jaar.

Deze potentie moet met de komende updates nog meer uit de auto worden gehaald volgens Gastaldi: "Ook in Monaco moeten wij met de upgrades verder op de grid komen te staan. Wij zijn erg druk geweest de laatste tijd in Enstone."

"Romain heeft geweldig gereden in Bahrein en gaat blijft ons verbazen met zijn kwaliteiten. Hij is erg gefocussed dit jaar en laat zien dat hij alles uit de auto kan halen. Als wij een klein beetje meer performance uit de E23 kunnen wringen, zullen betere resultaten vanzelf onze kant opkomen."
