Toro Rosso-coureurs gaan meer risico's nemen

Carlos Sainz en Max Verstappen zijn op het punt aanbeland dat ze wat meer agressiviteit in het spel gaan gooien. Het debutantenduo van Scuderia Toro Rosso heeft het in de eerste races wat voorzichtiger aan gedaan om zoveel mogelijk kilometers te maken en ervaring op te doen. Maar langzaam maar zeker nemen ze steeds meer risico's.

Sainz legt aan Autosport uit: "Het klopt dat het voornaamste doel in de eerste races was om ervaring op te doen. We waren gewend aan races van een half uur, niet van een uur en drie kwartier. Dat is echt een kwestie van leren. Ik denk dat we allebei een stapje terug hebben gedaan in onze agressiviteit en aanpak. Maar naarmate het seizoen vordert ga ik meer in de aanval."

Verstappen voegt toe: "Elke race krijg ik meer en meer vertrouwen in de auto. Vooral in de eerste twee races wilde ik niet te veel risico's nemen. Voor China besloot ik al om meer in te halen en dat pakte daar goed uit. Die lijn ben ik van plan om door te trekken."

      @JAS VERSTOPPEN: Ik begrijp jou niet, Max is op dit forum al gruwelijk vaak met het 'opvliegende agressieve' karakter van vader Jos vergeleken die daardoor maar al te vaak in de grindbak eindigde. Nu maak ik een grapje en valt iedereen over mij heen? Zegt genoeg over jullie dus, kneuzen.

    @ Gompie Ik sluit me aan bij Erwinnaar: Het hooliganisme is geland in de F1.

    Ik kan een heel betoog geven om je te duiden over het "rallygedrag" van Jos V.
    Maar als je echt geïnteresseerd bent in de F1 dan wist je dat al. En dat had je laten zien door niet te posten wat je gedaan hebt.
    Je knalt lekker een post op deze site om op te ruien en reageert beteuterd als mensen je reactie niet pruimen. Een grap is leuk, een kleine steek, prima, maar om dhr. Verstappen, de man die Max gebracht heeft waar hij nu is, iedere keer weer door het grind te sleuren... sorry, ik kan dat niet anders verwoorden als "ach, ach"

      @JAS VERSTOPPEN: Als je werkelijk had opgelet door de jaren heen hier had je geweten dat ik altijd en eeuwig Jos the Boss door dik en dun als coureur en als vader van... heb verdedigd. Dat in tegenstelling tot een hoop zogenaamde kenners hier die juist altijd en eeuwig Jos liepen en lopen af te zeiken. Dezelfde 'kenners' die Max ook al allerlei 'negatieve' eigenschappen van zijn vader liepen aan te praten in de F3 en nog voordat Max ook maar één meter F1 had gereden. Niets dan lof van mijn kant over Jos als coureur én als vader die zijn zoon zover heeft gebracht. Maar goed, jij bent er bijkbaar ook zo eentje die alleen zijn eigen postings leest.

    Zo het was me toch ff een lekker weertje vandaag.
    Schijnt vanaf maandag helemaal zomers te worden.... lekker man!

    In ieder geval, ik hoop dat ze het wel beide doen met het koppie erbij en zich niet van de baan af rijden. (Dan bedoel ik niet elkaar maar met andere coureurs).

    Ik heb in ieder geval zin in zondag, vooral met alle updates die men heeft meegenomen.
