Kvyat: "Ik doe mijn best, meer kan ik niet doen"

Red Bull Racing-coureur Daniil Kvyat kan weinig met de opmerkingen die Helmut Marko eerder in de Kleine Zeitung plaatste. De motorsportadviseur van Red Bull trachtte de rijders van het hoofdteam op scherp te zetten door een compliment uit te delen aan het onervaren duo van opleidingsteam Toro Rosso. Kvyat denkt er het zijne van.

"Ik ben niet gefrustreerd of wat dan ook", begint de Rus. "Ik geef alles en doe mijn best, meer kan ik doen. Dit is de enige manier om onze situatie te verbeteren. Ik ken mijn potentieel en op dit moment is dat genoeg. Laten we afwachten om te zien of ik mijn ware aard op een dag ook aan de wereld kan tonen."

"Ik weet niet hoe de komende races zich zullen ontvouwen. Ik verwacht in elk geval geen wonderen. We lossen onze problemen niet binnen een dag op. We doen het stap voor stap en we zien wel waar we staan in Monaco. Ik heb op dit moment nog geen idee. Hopelijk komen we er samen uit, maar ik hou geen rekening met enorme sprongen voorwaarts. Zoals gezegd, dat proces gaat stapje voor stapje."

    Z'n best doen is denk ik niet genoeg.
    Hij had het geluk dat Vettel vrij onverwachts opstapte en dat Red Bull niet snel genoeg een nieuw toptalent konden vinden (zeker niet binnen het eigen opleidingsprogramma).

    Snel is ie zeker, maar wonderen verrichten met een matige auto zit er zeker niet in en dat valt nu op. Zodra de auto beter wordt zal ook Kvyat beter gaan presteren, maar alsnog denk ik niet dat we hem nog jarenlang bij Red Bull gaan zien.

      Jij ziet het als geluk, maar ik denk dat nog een of twee jaartjes TR beter was geweest voor Kvyat.

    Niet Kvyat, maar Vergne had moeten rijden. Die had zeker weten dichter op Ricciardo gezeten.

    Vind de ruggengraat van deze coureur wel erg matig.Je maakt mij niet wijs dat een team als RB geen goede auto kan bouwen.Leg het team uit hoe je het liefst de auto zou willen hebben en kijk samen met hun hoe je dat kan bereiken, maar ga niet zitten klagen dat je best doet want dat doen ze allemaal in de F1.
