Max Verstappen laat Red Bull RB8 janken op Spa

Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Max Verstappen was dit weekend de speciale gast tijdens het World Series by Renault-weekend op Spa-Francorchamps. Hij sprong in een oude Red Bull Racing RB8 voor demoruns op zaterdag en zondag. Het publiek genoot van het optreden van de jonge Nederlander en zelf vermaakte hij zich ook.

Max Verstappen zegt op www.verstappen.nl: "Super mooi om demo's te geven en het publiek te vermaken, zeker met dat ouderwetse Formule 1-geluid, dat maakt het extra speciaal. Rook creëren en een mooie show weggeven voor al het publiek, dat vind ik alleen maar leuk." De jonge Nederlander was ook zeer te spreken over het evenement als geheel.

"De World Series by Renault zijn super om als autosportfan te bezoeken. De entree is gratis, er zijn veel attracties en vermaak rondom de baan en dat maakt het een super belevenis. Spa-Francorchamps is bovendien een van mijn favoriete circuits. Zeker Eau Rouge is speciaal, maar eigenlijk is het hele circuit zo in de Ardennen bijzonder. Met zijn lekker snelle bochten is het heel vloeiend. Er lijkt eigenlijk geen einde aan te komen."

    Geluid maakt niet uit, echt tof die turbo techniek het nieuwste van het nieuwste.... AHUM ROTZOOI.. kippenvel met dit geluid. Een blok dat zijn best doet er pk's uit te persen, machtig gewoon.

      Ik ben een voorstander van de nieuwe techniek, dat wil niet zeggen dat ik het geluid van een V8 of V10 niet mooi vind. Het enige dat ik zeg is dat ik het niet doorslaggevend vind voor de spanning en beleving.

    Ik viel wat uit de toon moet ik zeggen... :)

      Ja dat heb ik ook gezien, wat mij opviel was dat op Max zijn helm het logo van Infinity aan de voorkant stond en de geschreven text Infinty links en rechts bovenop, net als bij de RBR coureurs !
      Max had ook de Infinity Red Bull Racing overal aan, en daar was gewoon Max Verstappen op geborduurd !

      Toch wel vreemd want de overige STR sponsors (los van Red Bull) moeten daar dan toch geen bezwaar tegen hebben en waarom zou Renault de naam Infinity willen promoten op een Renault event ?

      Alles ligt in ieder geval al klaar voor Max zijn promotie als Red Bull Racing coureur is ! ;-)

      Volgens mij doet Toro Rosso zelf heen weinig aan evenementen en zijn alle evenementen onder het Red Bull logo en infiniti is daar onderdeel van.

    Was een leuke dag was het! Verstappen die een halve meter naast ons uit een Clio RS stapt aan de RB stand en vriendelijk hallo zegt... toch even schrikken, vriendelijke gast, jammer dat ze bij Renault enkel oog hadden voor hun vips en de chinezen die mee in de box stonden ^^ die fire up van de RB was gewoon machtig, wat een geluid!

      I see what your sarcasm did there ... ;) hij moet voor mij nog evenveel bewijzen op het circuit dan vorige week hoor ^^ echter, het arrogante dat ik voel bij z'n vader Jos heeft hij gelukkig niet overgenomen, hij leek mij vriendelijk en gefocust, alsof hij al jaren meedraait en al die aandacht rond hem al gewoon is.. maar in ieder geval: je wonderboy is wel al gestegen in mijn achting ;) hij is goed bezig ... ^^

      Ja Scuderia vroeg of laat wordt je gevangen door de charme en het talent van Max, de rijzende ster aan het F1 firmament.
      Misschien moeten we voor Flip, Joeri en consorten een Meet & Greet met Max regelen op Zandvoort, dan zijn ze gegarandeert 100% om ! ;-)
