'Sauber niet blij vanwege uitblijven motorupdate'

Sauber is niet blij met Ferrari. Dat laat Felipe Nasr weten vanuit Canada. De motorleverancier geniet van een upgrade voor haar krachtbron dit weekend, maar Sauber heeft deze verbetering niet ontvangen. Teambaas Monisha Kaltenborn liet eerst weten dat dit vanwege financiële overwegingen was besloten, maar kwam hier al snel op terug door te zeggen dat het uitblijven van de update een strategische keuze was.

Felipe Nasr schetst nu een ander beeld van het voorval, eentje waarin Sauber geen keuze had of het wel of niet de update zou ontvangen: "Het team is niet blij," zegt de Braziliaan tegenover UOL Esporte. "Monisha zegt dat wij alles als gelijkwaardige partner horen te ontvangen. Wij ontvangen de update echter pas in Spa."

    Ze hoort niks te zeggen over zulke dingen. Ze heeft geen recht op spreken.... zou wat zijn als ze zegt staat in het contract xd

    Hoe kan je nu eerst het ene zeggen en daarna het compleet omdraaien? Wat een incapabele mevrouw is die Kaltenborn zeg. Het is bijna knap dat ze dat zo vaak in een korte tijd bewijst. Ik snap sowieso niet hoe ze daar kan blijven zitten na alles wat er al gebeurd is.

    Volgens mij is Ferrari verplicht het aan te bieden, dus zullen dat vast wel hebben gedaan. Dat Sauber niet aanschaft is niet Ferrari hun probleem.

      Inderdaad waarschijnlijk wel aangeboden, maar Sauber zal niet meer de middelen hebben om het te kunnen betalen.

    Volgens de laatste berichten bied Sauber voor 2016 een stuk of 6 stoeltjes aan.
    De enige voorwaarde is voor augustus 15 miljoen aanbetalen. Voor december nog eens 5.
    De garantie is dan echter dat je sowieso een van de zes beschikbare stoeltjes krijgt!!
    Op deze manier hoopt Monisha 120 miljoen binnen te halen. Er schijnen al vijf gegadigden te zijn. Naar verluidt hebben Giedo, Doornbos en Albers al 50 miljoen bij elkaar geschrapt en gaan als "triple Dutch" een poging doen drie stoeltjes te bemachtigen.
    Voor degene die denken dat ik maar wat zit te kletsen; Sauber gaat in 2016 met drie 2-zitters aan de start verschijnen. De huidige vierkante bolide schijnt uitstekend geschikt te zijn voor 2-zitter configuratie. Bijkomend voordeel is dat de ene rijder kan sturen en de andere het denkwerk en de strategie kan doen.
    Wie de overige drie zitjes gaat vervullen is nog onduidelijk. Volgens Monisha is de oude vete met Giedo al lang en breed vergeten. "Hij is een topper en we verwelkomen hem en zijn financiële partners en geloven in een lange en vruchtbare samenwerking"

      Hmm in het geval van 6 stoeltjes kunnen ze beter de 3zitter die Arrows ooit gemaakt heeft van stal halen. :)
