Verstappen ziet in de toekomst Le Mans met vader wel zitten

Nico Hulkenberg schreef afgelopen weekend de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam. De Duitser is daarnaast actief in de Formule 1 voor het team van Force India en start de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk vanmiddag als vijfde. Max Verstappen is nog maar net actief in de koningsklasse, maar ziet zichzelf ooit wel deelnemen aan de prestigieuze race in Frankrijk.

"Of het in de toekomst iets voor mij is? Ik denk het wel,'' vertelde Verstappen tegenover het AD. Vader Jos Verstappen reed in 2008 al eens op Le Mans en won toen de LMP2-klasse. Een team vormen met zijn vader lijkt Verstappen wel wat. "Het lijkt me zeker interessant. Maar dat is iets voor later.''

Wanneer gevraagd of Verstappen senior niet te oud is voor een race als Le Mans, antwoordde Verstappen gevat: "Hij kan nog wel even vooruit, snelheid verlies je zomaar niet.''

      In dit geval met elkaar lijkt me, ze zullen natuurlijk niet tegen elkaar gaan racen lijkt me!

      @LX3: volgens mij zegt needspeed: als er een ding mooier is als tegen elkaar racen dan is het met elkaar racen in Le Mans. Daar geef ik hem groot gelijk in.

    Dan moeten ze wel weer samen naast elkaar in 1 auto zitten , dus Max achter het stuur en papa naast hem.
    Dan hoor je papa onder het rijden weer zeggen " Max niet zo snel door die bocht , want ik sla je " ;-)

    Ik vind dat echt een giller , dan lig ik in een deuk als we weer zoiets te zien krijgen

    Ach Andretti, Pescarolo en Lammers reden ook nog Le Mans toen ze al ver in de 50 wagen,

    Ervaring is hier net zo belangrijk als snelheid :)

    Misschien kunnen ze dan wel een Porsche LMP1 regelen ;) Jos heeft toch mooie dingen voor ze gedaan (met Merkstteijn)

    zou leuk zijn als ze dan een team vormen met Jeroen Bleekemolen :)

      Bleek wilt dat niet eens. Laat Bleek maar lekker in de GT. Ik zie eerder een opstelling met een van de Coronels, of met Lammers.

      En het is natuurlijk niet raar dat deze vragen nu opkomen aan gezien Max zijn hoofdsponser gezegd heeft dat ie volgend jaar Le Mans gaat doen met Jan Lammers.
      Dit wordt voor 95% zeker een LMP2 project en daarom zou het me niet verbazen als dat Jan-Jos-Max word in 1 auto en dat Frits samen met 2 andere een 2de auto gaan besturen.

      Volgens mij kan dat niet eens, in LMP2 moet minstens 1 amateur (brons licentie) meedoen, En Lammers en Jos zie ik niet echt als een Amateur , (licht eraan hoelang ze niet hebben gereden denk ik ook, maar qua "level" denk ik niet dat de wedstrijdleiding dat toe laat ;) )

      Misschien dan met 2 auto,s dat Jos en Max nog een 3de coureur vinden

    Ik vind het ook echt wel wat hebben als mensen uit de Formule 1 Le Mans rijden is toch iets apart vergeleken met allerlei andere races en raceklasses.
    Is ook gewoon jammer dat rijders niet die vrijheid krijgen om te rijden in dat weekend als ze toch niet in F1 hoeven te rijden. Helemaal als je zoals dit jaar een race in Europa de week erna hebt.
