Ricciardo lacht om geruchten: "Zit al bij topteam"

Red Bull Racing-coureur Daniel Ricciardo vindt de verhalen dat hij na dit seizoen mogelijk verkast naar Ferrari amusant. De Australiër heeft een doorlopend contract bij zijn huidige werkgever en heeft bovendien nooit met iemand van de Scuderia gesproken. Hij hoeft ook niet weg bij Red Bull.

Ricciardo: "Ik weet niet wanneer en waardoor deze geruchten op gang zijn gebracht, maar het explodeerde snel tot grote proporties. Ferrari is het enige topteam waar mogelijk een stoeltje vacant is, ik denk dat daarom mijn naam en die van een paar anderen daarmee in verband zijn gebracht."

"Het is wel lachen. Meer zoek ik er niet achter, het is leuk. We praten er nu ook over, het zorgt voor wat variatie in de gesprekken. Natuurlijk is het prettig om door een topteam in de gaten gehouden te worden, het is goed om te weten dat er interesse van andere teams is. Maar ik zit al bij een topteam."

Jij staart je blind op 2014 waarin hij een iets minder jaar had (en ook niet altijd het geluk aan zijn zijde had).

    Ja Ric, je zit bij een topteam. Maar als Renault zo blijft Klungelen met hoofdletter K dan win jij voorlopig ff geen kampioenschap vriend.

      Dat klungelen blijft niet duren bij Red Bull.
      Bij McLaren trouwens ook niet. Die komen beiden wel terug.
      De vraag alleen is .................wanneer ?

    Ben benieuwd of hij in deze minder leuke periode veerkracht kan tonen en Kyvat weer de baas kan zijn. Dat zal toch doorslaggevend kunnen zijn voor de rest van zijn carrière.

      Volgens mij moet Kvyat eerder vrezen voor z'n carriere dan Ricciardo. Ik vind hem de betere coureur (ondanks dat je dit op basis van de resultaten op het moment niet ziet) met een hele goede uitstraling. Kvyat is niet slecht, maar zeker niet uitzonderlijk goed. Het enige wat Kvyat echt mee heeft, is dat hij uit het land van de roebels komt.

      Kyvat is ook nog wel heel jong en erg vroeg gebracht. Natuurlijk moet je meteen presteren in deze sport, maar ik denk dat deze Rus nog heel veel groei potentie heeft. Hij maakt nu in ieder geval een interessante curve mee.

    De zogenaamde 'shortlist' met opvolgers voor Kimi is inmiddels een 'longlist' geworden. Iedereen die ook maar een beetje in aanmerking zou kunnen komen wordt door de media gelinkt aan Ferrari.

    Ik wacht wel af wat het gaat worden. Voor hetzelfde geld houden ze hun Iceman gewoon nog een jaartje. Dat wil Vettel ook graag. Lijkt me voor de rust in het team beter.

      Als je rust in het team zoekt, zul je in ieder geval snel duidelijkheid moeten verschaffen. Als teambaas allerlei geruchten de media in blazen, om vervolgens het weer keihard te ontkennen, werkt niet bepaald mee aan de ideale sfeer binnen het team.

    Met de huidige prestaties van Ricciardo zie ik het zeker niet gebeuren dat hij naar Ferrari gaat. Ik betwijfel het überhaupt dat er door Ferrari interesse is getoont, vanuit Ferrari zijn er nog geen signalen afgegeven wat ge geruchten bevestigd.

      Het is onbegonnen werk om Sailor een keer niet blind naar de cijfers te laten staren en andere factoren mee te nemen in een beoordeling. Ik heb het ook vaak genoeg geprobeerd.
