Familie houdt emotionele toespraak voor Bianchi

Het was vanochtend vechten tegen de tranen in de Sainte Reparate-kathedraal in Nice. Daar vond de uitvaart van Jules Bianchi plaats. De Fransman bezweek vrijdagavond aan de verwondingen die hij in oktober bij een crash tijdens de Japanse Grand Prix opliep.

Onder de aanwezigen veel Formule 1-coureurs. Romain Grosjean, Sebastian Vettel en Jean-Eric Vergne hielpen met het dragen van de kist van Bianchi. Zijn familie hield een emotionele toespraak. "Wij zullen sterk blijven voor jou. Je moed, je kracht en je waardigheid zullen voor altijd in ons gegraveerd staan."

"Wat er ook gebeurt, of we treurig zijn of angst voelen, we weten dat jij altijd bij ons bent. Jouw baby's, zoals je ons noemde, jij weet wel hoe je ons moet beschermen. Het gemis van jou zal een pijnlijke beproeving zijn, maar weet dat wij voor altijd van je houden."

Ik weet dat het met het Nederlands in schrift niet best gesteld is in het algemeen en op het internet in het bijzonder, maar ´gegrafeerd in ons´ komt dan van eren aan het graf, maar dat kan weer niet in ons.
