Verse Honda-motoren voor Alonso en Button

Honda voorziet McLaren-coureurs Fernando Alonso en Jenson Button voor dit weekend in Hongarije van verse krachtbronnen. Het tweetal incasseert geen grid penalty, hoewel ze het maximum van vier motoren voor dit seizoen reeds overschreden hebben.

De internationale autosportbond FIA bevestigde eerder deze week dat de eerstvolgende motorwissel bij de rijders van McLaren-Honda onbestraft zou blijven. Dat is het gevolg van de bepaling dat elke nieuwe motorleverancier een extra aandrijflijn in mag zetten ten opzichte van bestaande motorleveranciers. Die regel geldt met terugwerkende kracht voor Honda.

    Goed moment voor een nieuwe motor. Net als in Monaco is dít hun moment en kans om punten te pakken aangezien power minder belangrijk is. Als de wagen niet stuk gaat kunnen ze beide top 10 rijden!

    Vraag me dan af of ze al tokens ingezet hebben dan. Anders zit je 5 races vast aan deze oude spec motoren. Of zouden ze er vanuit gaan dat die motor toch maar 1 of 2 races mee gaat?

      Renault zal net zo veel motoren mogen inzetten als Mercedes en Ferrari wanneer zij een fabrieksteam opzetten, omdat zij geen nieuwe motorleverancier zijn.

    Lekker scheef dit weer. Gooi dat hele motor reglement dan in de prullenbak. Die Mercedes gaat er echt niet harder van rijden wanneer er ieder weekend een nieuwe in hangt.

    Deze regel is denk ik vooral gemaakt om nieuwe motorleveranciers te trekken. Maar ik zie nou niet die fabrikanten nu juichen en direct in de F1 stappen. Domme regel dus eigenlijk.

    Dat gezeik met die motoren en hoeveel je er mag gebruiken. Wil je echt racen zien dan moet de regel gewoon zijn dat er een nieuwe in mag met dezelfde specs wanneer er één stuk gaat. Die gridstraffen zijn complete onzin.

    Ik kijk op YouTube trouwens vaak oude races terug in de jaren '90. Toch leuk dat er soms 3 motoren in 1 weekend opgeblazen werden en men oneindig veel motoren mocht inzetten. Ik mis die oude tijd wel en de prachtige motorplofs.
