Grosjean ruimt plek in voor Bianchi in dream team

Lotus-coureur Romain Grosjean is na Bernie Ecclestone, Lewis Hamilton en Christian Horner de volgende die zijn droomformatie aan Formula1.com heeft doorgegeven. Hier de selectie van de Fransman met negen podiumplaatsen in de Formule 1 achter zijn naam.

De keuze voor de rijders is een beetje morbide. Grosjean koppelt Ayrton Senna aan Jules Bianchi, de twee laatste coureurs die overleden zijn aan de gevolgen van een crash in de Formule 1. Senna won drie wereldtitels in de Formule 1. Bianchi scoorde maar twee punten namens achterhoedeteam Marussia voordat zijn loopbaan abrupt ten einde kwam.

Als teambaas valt zijn keuze op Frank Williams. Net als Red Bull Racing-leider Horner gaat Grosjean voor de Williams FW14B als auto. Met die wagen stormde Nigel Mansell in 1992 naar het kampioenschap.
