Verstappen: "Het wordt een inhaalrace morgen"

Max Verstappen start morgen als 18e in de Belgische Grand Prix. De jonge Nederlander reed een 15e tijd in de kwalificatie op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps, maar zal door een motorwissel en de daarbij behorende straf verder naar achteren starten. 

Verstappen kijkt met gemengde gevoelens terug op zijn kwalificatie: "Na de rode vlag in Q2 had het geen zin meer de baan op te gaan, omdat ik toch terug moet op de startopstelling. Het leek ons verstandiger om een set banden te besparen voor morgen. In de eerste kwalificatie had ik een probleem met de motor, dit moeten we voor morgen op zien te lossen. Qua racesnelheid zit het bij ons wel goed, ik ga morgen om een mooie inhaalrace te laten zien voor mijn thuispubliek".

    Laten we maar hopen op een flinke bui regen een aantal rondjes na de start. Dat is sowieso leuk en ik ben erg benieuwd hoe max zich er doorheen weet te slaan.

    tussen de 7 en 20% kans op regen dus reken er niet op om teleurstelling te voorkomen.
    Het word gewoon ouderwets inhalen waar het eigenlijk niet kan.

    Succes ermee ik hoop op een 8ste plek.

    Waarom gaan zoveel mensen op 1 site af. Vergelijk eens een aantal weersites en dan zie je toch echt dat er morgen wel iets gaat vallen tijdens de race.
