McLaren grijpt eenmalig terug op langere neus

Het team van McLaren rijdt dit weekend in Italië weer met een lange neus op de MP4-30. De Britse renstal introduceerde in Oostenrijk een korte neus op de auto van Fernando Alonso en reed sindsdien in elke race met de korte neus op beide wagens, maar voor de Grand Prix op Monza grijpen ze terug op de langere neus.

Autosport bericht dat het eenmalig is. De oude specificatie van de neus voorziet McLaren van een betere balans en minder drag op circuits waar niet veel downforce nodig is. Voor Singapore keert de korte neus dan terug en de planning is om daar een nieuw pakket voor de voorvleugel te introduceren.
