Tom Coronel: "Max kan gekke dingen doen op zondag"

Eerder deze week liet Max Verstappen vertrouwen te hebben in een goed resultaat op Singapore. De Nederlander hoopt op een zevende of achtste plaats, en heeft bijval gekregen van Tom Coronel: "In Singapore komt het zondag meer aan op lef en goed bochtenwerk dan op pure snelheid. Dat is in het voordeel van Max, aangezien hij een mindere auto heeft dan zijn concurrenten."

"Het parcours in Singapore heeft zoveel hobbels dat het af en toe echt hobbelen als een kangoeroe is," gaat de WTCC-coureur verder tegenover Metro. "Niet iedereen kan daarmee omgaan, maar voor een fel jochie als Max is dat geen probleem. Dat hij goed kan sturen, liet hij in Monaco bijvoorbeeld ook al zien. Als hij zaterdag in de laatste vrije training zijn zevende plek weet vast te houden, kan hij gekke dingen doen op zondag."
