Verstappen blijft staan bij start

Max Verstappen heeft een slecht begin van zijn race in Singapore gehad. De Nederlander bleef staan bij de start en zag zijn goede uitgangspositie als sneeuw voor de zon verdwijnen. 

Marshalls duwden de auto van Verstappen naar de pits. Na ongeveer anderhalve ronde zagen we de Nederlander de pitstraat uit komen. Voor Verstappen zou een Safety Car uitkomst bieden, Verstappen rijdt momenteel rondetijden die gelijkwaardig zijn aan Rosberg en Bottas. Inmiddels heeft hij zijn ronde achterstand ten opzichte van de Manors goedgemaakt.

En inmiddels al P8! Wat een mega inhaalrace, zeker weten met wat geluk qua safety cars, maar toch! Wat gaat die jongen lekker, wat een inhaalacties :-)

    Dan begin je al in SPA en Monza met een motor wissel en grid penalty's omdat je in Singapore geen motor problemen wil hebben, want in Singapore gaat het gebeuren dat circuit is goed voor de STR.
    Misschien voortaan beter in Spa en Monza op de je positie starten en kijken waar het schip strand, want F1 is motorsport en laat zich niet voorspellen.
    Nu 3 races achter in het veld gestart, Zo jammer en teleurstellend dit :-(

      Inmiddels 1 uur later P8 de teleurstelling is helemaal weg :-)), ook al denk ik, stel dat hij een goede start had gehad ?

      Bij alle races in Singapore is nog een sc geweest. Niet echt geluk, als team weet je dat je hier ook met wat pech ( aan het begin) nog ver kan komen.

    Weet iemand waarom het team Max de opdracht gaf om Sainz voorbij te laten, wat hij dus niet heeft gedaan ?? ben benieuwd hoe het team reageert op zijn weigering.

      Was dat wat het team zei? Dat zei Olaf wel, maar volgens mij zeiden ze dat ie moest consolideren en Perez niet aanvallen.

      In de laatste ronde riep het team Max voor de 2e keer over de radio dat hij Carlos voorbij moest laten gaan, en hij zei keihard schreeuwend NO.

      Ik heb geen twitter account, maar hier op de Spaanse TV hebben ze ons alles laten horen, en ook de commentators, waaronder Pedro de la Rosa wisten niet waarom het team Max de opdracht gaf.

      Franz Tost heeft inmiddels gereageerd dat hij achteraf blij is dat Max de teamorder geweigerd heeft. "Volgens de racadata zou Max zijn teangenoot gaan ophouden omdat Max'bande op waren. Maar Max bleek snellen op de versleten banden dan verwacht."

      Ook Sainz baalt van het misverstand maar verwijt zijn teamgenoot niets. Franz Tost ligt op SkySport nogmaals toe dat Sainz niet snel genoeg was en dat Max het bij het rechte eind had.

      Ze dachten waarschijnlijk dat Carlos, mischien wel aan Perez voorbij zou kunnen komen, maar de banden van Carlos waren 2 ronden ouder als die van Max.
      Goed gedaan van Max, en een eerlijke reactie van het team dat toegeeft dat Max gelijk had.

    Iedereen praat alleen maar over de teamorders aan het eind van de race,
    maar ik zou graag willen weten waarom Max bleef staan bij de start ?

      Door een fout in de software bleef de auto in de 1e versnelling staan.
      (Ik weet echter niet of dat officieel bevestigd is)
