Verstappen: "Er komen dit jaar geen updates meer"

Het seizoen van de Formule 1 kent nog slechts enkele races dit jaar. Hiermee stopt ook vaak de ontwikkeling bij de kleine teams, mede vanwege budgettaire redenen. Hoewel het team van Scuderia Toro Rosso meer dan 350 werknemers telt, is het toch een relatief klein team in de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Coureur Max Verstappen hoeft echter geen updates meer te verwachten. Vader Jos Verstappen meldde aan Sport1 het volgende: "De wagen die Max dit jaar heeft is aerodynamisch erg goed, dat merk je vooral in de langzame bochten. Daarnaast kan Max ook goed met de banden omgaan. Dit resulteert in constante tijden waardoor de banden niet gaan glijden en hij goede rondetijden kan rijden. Er zullen dit jaar echter geen updates meer komen, die hoeft Max niet meer te verwachten. De laatste updates die het team gepland had zijn pas op de auto gezet maar daar zal het ook bij blijven."

12 tokens over voor Renault dus.... ik begrijp wel waarom RB ietwat teleurgesteld is.

Renault is er dus niet in geslaagd dit seizoen de motor qua prestaties te verbeteren, allen hebben ze de betrowbarheid enigzins onder de knie gekregen.
