Grosjean: "Formule 1 zou net zoals MotoGP meer voor fans moeten doen"

Romain Grosjean heeft de suggestie opgeroepen om, net zoals de MotoGP, meer activiteiten op vrijdag te organiseren voor de fans. Hierdoor zou de saaie vrijdag meer interessant worden. De vrije trainingen vandaag op het Russische Sotsji kende weinig actie in beide sessies. Door de diesel op de baan, voordat de eerste training begon hadden de coureurs maar één uur om te rijden. Mede doordat beide trainingen ook nat waren, was er weinig actie op de baan, wat een aantal betalende fans erg van baalde.

Grosjean zette vandaag helemaal geen tijd neer, maar dacht wel na over hoe de vrijdagen interessanter kan zijn voor de fans. Zo zou de Formule 1 moeten gaan kijken naar de MotoGP, want de organisatie van de motorraces organiseerde een race op mini bikes met de bekendste coureurs.

"Als je MotoGP volgt op Istagram, kan je zien dat ze een race reden op kleine motoren. En ze organiseren van alles voor de fans. Misschien kunnen wij ook meer van dit soort dingen doen, al zal het moeilijker voor ons zijn om een kleine Formule 1-auto te maken. Een dag als vandaag is niet leuk voor de fans, maar zouden we crashen en we hebben geen reserve onderdelen, wat doen we dan? We nemen niet de risico’s want we willen op zondag kunnen racen en punten scoren", aldus Grosjean.

    Als je inderdaad kijkt naar andere klasses zie je dat het allemaal wel wat meer voor de fans is. Degenen die een weekend bijwonen betalen al genoeg en als je dan ook nog een regensessie hebt is het een duur kaartje.

    Ze moeten ook de opzet veranderen van de alle donderdag en vrijdag interviews altijd die domme vragen waarbij altijd de coureur zo'n lekker politiek antwoord geeft is ook niet boeiend.

      Akkoord!

      Niet enkel Moto GP doet het goed wat dat betreft. Heb enkele maten in de VS die compleet racegek zijn. Als je die gasten bezig hoort over de beleving en betrokkenheid van de fans en wat die allemaal kunnen en mogen doen tijdens een race weekend in de Indy/NASCAR/stock car etc ... het is om jaloers van te worden o0
