Ricciardo ziet kansen om te kapitaliseren tijdens race

Daniel Ricciardo start de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten vanaf de derde positie. De Australier zat er tijdens de kwalificatie goed bij in de regenachtige weersomstandigheden en de Red Bull-coureur zal dan ook hopen dat de race onder dezelfde omstandigheden verreden zal worden.

"Q1 was erg goed, we voelden ons comfortabel in dit weer", vertelt Ricciardo. "Tijdens de tweede sessie was er wat meer water op de baan. We hadden het lastiger dan de Mercedessen, die vonden wat meer snelheid. De derde startplaats is echter zeker geen slechte positie voor de race."

"Er staan wat snellere auto's verder naar achteren. Zij zouden in het droog sneller zijn, maar vandaag hebben we wellicht een goede kans om te kapitaliseren. Ik weet niet precies wat het weer gaat doen, maar ik denk dat we een leuke race voorgeschoteld zullen krijgen later vandaag."
