Palmer in eerste vrije training bij resterende GP's

Jolyon Palmer zal vandaag namens Lotus in actie komen tijdens de eerste vrije training voor de Grand Prix van Mexico. De reserverijder is door de Britse renstal bevestigd als racecoureur voor 2016 en mag bij de resterende drie races ervaring opdoen tijdens de eerste sessie.

Palmer nam dit jaar al bij tien van de vijftien raceweekenden de eerste training voor zijn rekening. Telkens was het Romain Grosjean die toe moest kijken. Dat zal in Mexico, Brazilië en Abu Dhabi niet anders zijn. Grosjean verhuist na dit jaar naar Haas F1 Team, terwijl Pastor Maldonado blijft om volgend seizoen een koppel te vormen met Palmer.

Logisch dat Lotus hem de laatste trainingen laat rijden, hopelijk kan hij hierin ook een keer het achterste van zijn tong laten zien want echt imponeren heeft hij nog niet gedaan. Ben erg benieuwd hoe hij het volgend jaar gaat doen, denk dat hij een zware kluif heeft om Maldonado bij te houden on... [Lees verder]
