Grosjean verricht al werkzaamheden voor Haas

Romain Grosjean staat nog drie raceweekenden onder contract bij Lotus, maar hij is al bezig met zijn nieuwe werkgever Haas F1 Team. De Fransman moet vanaf volgend jaar de Amerikaanse nieuwkomer bij de hand nemen. Grosjean heeft toestemming van Lotus om al plannen te maken met Haas en alvast wat werk te verzetten voor zijn nieuwe team.

"De fans hebben me in positieve zin verrast nadat ik getekend had bij Haas", begint Grosjean. "In Austin voelde ik al veel steun, veel mensen zijn blij dat ik voor Haas F1 Team gekozen heb en ze denken dat volgend jaar een mooi seizoen kan worden. Gene Haas en Gunther Steiner waren ook op het Circuit of the Americas aanwezig en we hebben gepraat over 2016."

"Op maandag ben ik langs geweest bij de Haas Automation-fabriek ten noorden van Los Angeles en heb ik gedineerd met Gene en Gunther. Toen hebben we de plannen nogmaals doorgenomen. Ik bedacht me hoe graag ik zou willen dat het de dag voor de eerste wintertest zou zijn, zodat ik bijna met de auto aan de slag mag. Maar het is een opwindend en goed project."
