Hunter-Reay neemt deel aan Race of Champions

Voormalig IndyCar-kampioen Ryan Hunter-Reay doet later deze maand mee aan de Race of Champions 2015 in het Olympisch Stadion te Londen. De Amerikaan voegt zich bij de alsmaar groeiende lijst van deelnemers, waar verder onder andere Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa, Romain Grosjean, Jorge Lorenzo, Petter Solberg, Tom Kristensen en Daniel Ricciardo op staan.

Hunter-Reay: "Ik ben verguld om voor een derde keer aan de start te verschijnen bij de Race of Champions. Organisator Fredrik Johnsson en zijn team hebben een spectaculair evenement op poten gezet en ik heb genoten van mijn eerdere twee optredens in Bangkok en op Barbados. Het is heel leuk om de competitie aan te gaan met topcoureurs uit andere series."

"Het is een unieke uitdaging om in verschillende auto's te springen, helemaal omdat je steeds heel weinig tijd in de wagen doorbrengt. Vorig jaar won ik vijf van mijn zes races in de groepsfase en daar probeer ik op voort te borduren. Nu hoop ik die lijn door te trekken naar de knock-out fase. Ik verheug me erop om later deze maand het publiek in Londen tekeer te horen gaan."
