Ericsson stelt dat Sauber verwachtingen overtreft

Marcus Ericsson voelt zich helemaal thuis bij het team van Sauber. De Zweed, die dit jaar overkwam van Caterham, is van mening dat de Zwitserse formatie dit jaar alle verwachtingen overtreft. Vorig jaar kende Sauber een dramatisch seizoen zonder punten, maar dit seizoen staat de teller al op 36. 2016 belooft volgens Ericsson nog beter te worden.

"Om eerlijk te zijn heeft Sauber mijn verwachtingen overtroffen", vertelt Ericsson. "We hebben bijna in iedere race om de punten kunnen vechten." Het werd al vroeg in het seizoen duidelijk dat Ericsson en Felipe Nasr ook volgend seizoen de kleuren van Sauber verdedigen. Een goede zaak volgens de Zweed.

"Ik denk dat het goed is dat er wat stabiliteit in het team is", vervolgt Ericsson. "We weten wat er gaande is en we snappen de procedures. Daarnaast begrijpen we de mentaliteit. We zijn allebei erg betrokken bij de auto van komend seizoen. Er wordt veel gepraat met de engineers over wat we precies willen."
