Abiteboul schuift aan voor FIA-persconferentie

Cyril Abiteboul is vrijdag een van de sprekers bij de traditionele persconferentie van de internationale autosportbond FIA op de vrijdag voorafgaand aan een Grand Prix-weekend. Dat zou een voorbode voor nieuws over de toekomst van Renault in de Formule 1 kunnen zijn.

De Franse autofabrikant is al geruime tijd bezig met een overname van Lotus F1 Team. Abiteboul is directeur bij Renault Sport F1 en voorspelde al een aankondiging in de dagen rondom de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi. Overmorgen schuift hij aan voor de persconferentie die om 16.00 uur Nederlandse tijd start.

Morgen vindt de persconferentie voor coureurs plaats, vanaf 12.00 uur Nederlandse tijd. Daarvoor zijn Fernando Alonso (McLaren), Roberto Merhi (Manor), Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari), Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) en Daniil Kvyat (Red Bull Racing) opgeroepen.
