Raikkonen: "Max heeft het goed gedaan dit jaar"

Ferrari-coureur Kimi Raikkonen heeft wat aardige woorden over gehad voor Scuderia Toro Rosso-collega Max Verstappen. In de media valt de naam van de jonge Nederlander wel eens in verband met de opvolging van Raikkonen in 2017. De Fin trekt zich daar weinig van aan.

"Het zou gek zijn als er niet gespeculeerd zou worden", begint Raikkonen tegenover Sky Sports F1. "Voor aanvang van het seizoen hoorde je vaak dat Max te jong zou zijn geweest voor de Formule 1, maar hij heeft het gewoon goed gedaan dit jaar."

"Ook als je jong bent kan je al veel ervaring hebben, ze beginnen op steeds jongere leeftijd tegenwoordig. Wat mijn positie binnen Ferrari betreft, ik hoor elk jaar verhalen dat ze me eruit zullen trappen en volgend jaar zullen die geruchten vast weer op gang komen."

    de ferrari coureurs zijn wel heel erg aan het flirten met Max, eerst Vettel nu Raikkomen.
    zou nu de 1 april grap verstappen rijdt voor Ferrari nu eindelijk waarheid worden.

    Al dat op niks gebaseerde gespeculeer dat Max 2017 Ferrari rijdt komt me de neus uit.

    Als Vettel over 8 jaar de helm aan de wilgen hangt na 5 gewonnen titels met Ferrari misschien wel ja.

      Ik had de min al aan 'm gegeven zonder uitleg en dacht geef nog even een uitleg...het is gewoon 1 grote irritatie dat heel veel opmerkingen niet meer zijn dan een uiting van mensen hun frustraties i.p.v. gewoon reacties op wat er gebeurd.

      Speculaties over wat Max gaat doen zullen er altijd blijven zolang hij het zo goed doet en niet bij een top team zit, en laten we daar nou juist blij om wezen, want als dat niet het geval was dan deed hij het niet goed...het hoort er dus gewoon bij en is dus redundant.

      Het is Actie -> Reactie, bij (bijna) elk topic lees je comments over Verstappen, het gaat hier over F1 en niet alles behoeft een link naar of met het wonderkind. Overigens geen frustratie maar een constatering. :)

      @Mustbethetires, maar dat is niet alleen hier...de impact van Max is gewoon zo groot dat bij de buitenlandse pers te pas en te onpas Max bij de meeste discussies ook steeds langs komt...of het nou over Grosjean z'n wens gaat om voor Ferrari te gaan rijden in de toekomst, de toekomst van Valteri Bottas, over Kimi z'n F1 houdbaarheid, etc., elke keer komt Max weer ter sprake...

      ...hij is niet voor niks genomineerd als FIA persoonlijkheid van het jaar...en als je er niks over wilt lezen/horen, dan kun je gewoon maar beter stoppen met het lezen over F1 en het geluid uitzetten bij de races.

    Max is destijds door Ferrari uitgenodigd voor de Florida Winter Series dus contact is er al lang. En het zou mij ook echt niet verbazen als er ook al een soort van intentieverklaring/ -overeenkomst is uitgeschreven.

    2017 lijkt mij echter nog wat vroeg. Denk dat Max zich daarvoor toch eerst nog even wat meer moet bewijzen en mogelijk alvast wat titels in de wacht slepen bij een ander team. Bovendien nemen ze bij Ferrari meestal toch de iets oudere en meer ervaren coureurs aan. Over 4-5 jaar misschien,...

      Je eindigd je carrière bij Ferrari, Max heeft een contract 2 + 1, 2 jaar TR en een jaar RB, die is nog een paar jaar onder de pannen.

      Ja zou idd leuk zijn,.. maar kijk naar Schumi,.. en Vettel, die is nu 28, die zie ik van de ene kant ook niet tot 35+ voor SF rijden, maar van de andere kant zie ik hem voorlopig ook nog niet stoppen. En, tenzij hij heel vroeg stopt of zijn heil gaat zoeken in een andere klasse, zou het me niks verbazen als die over een paar jaar toch nog eens een overstap gaat maken naar een ander team.

      En het zou zo maar kunnen dat Max eenzelfde traject gaat volgen. Eerst een paar titels binnenhalen met RB, dan een paar bij MB of zo en dan naar Ferrari, om op zijn 35e met de nodige titels op zak nog wat te gaan rijden bij een opkomend team,.. gewoon voor de lol. :)
