Magnussen uitgenodigd voor DTM-test met Mercedes

Kevin Magnussen krijgt komende week de gelegenheid om een DTM-auto van Mercedes aan de tand te voelen. De Deen, na dit seizoen niet meer verbonden aan het team van McLaren, overweegt zijn opties voor de toekomst. Een plekje in de DTM behoort volgens Magnussen tot de mogelijkheden.

"Ik ga inderdaad testen komende week", aldus Magnussen in gesprek met de Deense krant Ekstra Bladet. "Ik kom waarschijnlijk de derd dag van de testweek in actie. Het wordt een geweldige ervaring en ik ben ontzettend dankbaar voor deze kans. Ik kijk er erg naar uit om eens een ander type auto te besturen."

De DTM-test zal plaatsvinden op het Spaanse circuit van Jerez de la Frontera.

    Helaas is dit het einde van de F1 carriere van Kevin. Jammer aangezien deze nooit echt serieus op gang is gekomen. Dat ene seizoen bij McL wss natuurlijk niet serieus te noemen.

      Mee eens. Magnussen heeft echt flink wat in z'n mars, maar heeft geen serieuze kans gekregen om zich te bewijzen. Ik hoop dat Vandoorne een betere kans krijgt van McLaren, als ie die krijgt...

      Jammer dat McLaren zo om is gegaan met zijn F1 carierre. Ze gaven hem een kans om naar F1 te komen, en er even te rijden, maar het is ergens apart dat ze hem te lang aan het lijntje hebben gehouden.

      Als ze Stoffel zijn F1 carriere ook verprutsen dan zijn ze klaar en wil geen één toptalent zich meer vwrbinden aan McL. Hoe serieus zijn ze te nemen wanneer ze Hamilton niet kunnen behouden, Perez achyer het stuur zetten terwijl er toch echt betere coureurs beschikbaar zijn en talenten geen kans gunnen omdat ze persé met 2 bijna bejaarde ex-kampioenen willen rijden...

      Valt wel mij, er zijn bij Red Bull (str) wel meer coureurs geweest die we niet meer in de Formule 1 zien en daar gaan nog genoeg coureurs naar toe. Bovendien is de huidige WK begonnen bij McLaren.

      Je bent echt serieus he? Als je niet eens inziet dat het fantastisch is dat Redbull zoveel talenten een kans geeft, en het zelfs wil vergelijken met Mclaren haar jeugdprogramma.. zeg dan gewoon helemaal niks.
