Meeste stemmen voor rit Verstappen in Austin

Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Max Verstappen is weer als beste uit de bus gekomen bij een poll van het Twitter-account van de officiële Formule 1-site Formula1.com. De fans riepen de jonge Nederlander eerder uit tot 'Rijder van het Seizoen' en nu is zijn optreden bij de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten verkozen tot 'Rit van het Seizoen'.

Verstappen verzekerde zich onder natte omstandigheden van een knappe vierde plaats op het Circuit of the Americas nabij Austin. Dat leverde hem bij deze 'Fan Vote' van Formula1.com de meeste stemmen op. Een gedeelde tweede plek is er Sebastian Vettel (winst in Singapore) en Sergio Perez (podium in Rusland). Verstappen staat ook nog eens op de derde positie, voor zijn optreden in Singapore. Het 'No' over de boordradio ligt vast nog vers in het geheugen bij de fans.

      Los van wat iemand vindt over Verstappen, hoop ik wel dat iedereen zich realiseert hoe ongelofelijk goed hij het gedaan heeft voor een rookie. Als Magnussen zo bij McLaren gereden had, had hij misschien wel mogen blijven!

    Dik verdiend. Op eigen kracht met de Ferrari's knokken, prachtig.
    De 3 minuten onboard bij Kimi (op youtube) zijn helemaal legendarisch. Wat een rit, wat een drive. Voor mij persoonlijk ook een hoogtepunt in het seizoen.

    Ze hadden ook nog ff het commentaar van Kimi erbij moeten plaatsen ;),

    "That guy keeps pushing me off the circuit every time, if that's legal I will do the same next time." haha :)

    Die onboardbeelden vanuit de auto van Kimi waren ook prachtig om te zien toen Max Vettel inhaalde, samen het rechte langs stuk op en iets te ver doorschoot in de bocht. Prachtig !

    Een ding is duidelijk.... we hebben als nederland toch maar weer een megatalent in huis...hij laat dingen zien die echt niet allerdaags zijn.... en de kenners o.a. toto wolf zeggen dat iedere grote in de F1 gelijk een onuitwisbare indruk achter laat. En hij refereerde naar Max.
