McLaren-Honda 'koploper' in aantal gridstraffen 2015

Het vernieuwde huwelijk tussen McLaren en Honda bracht de Engels-Japanse combinatie nog niet de successen waar men op gehoopt had. Sterker nog: de motor van Honda kwam veel vermogen tekort en was bovendien erg onbetrouwbaar. Zowel Jenson Button als Fernando Alonso moesten lijdzaam toezien dat er onderdelen in de motor vervangen moesten worden en dit leverde het duo dan ook in veel Grand Prix een gridstraf op. 

In de lijst van gridstraffen door het vervangen van een motor of onderdelen in de motor voert Honda de lijst aan. In totaal kregen Jenson Button en Fernando Alonso 320 strafplaatsen. Red Bull en Toro Rosso staan op de plekken twee en drie, vooral in het begin van het seizoen hadden zij te maken met een onbetrouwbare Renault-motor. Teams die buiten schot bleven door gridstraffen waren Mercedes, Force India, Williams en Lotus. Bij de coureurs was het Jenson Button die de lijst aanvoerde, over het hele seizoen kreeg hij 165 plaatsen straf.

      Ha, ha, klopt, maar ja, als je de motor wil ontwikkelen in je testseizoen, dan moet je iets natuurlijk. Blijft mijns inziens een krom systeem, dat erop gericht is de leiders zo lang mogelijk in het zadel te houden...

      Zelfs zonder deze regel hadden ze het moeilijk deze jaar , hun betrouwbaarheid laat veel te wenzen over het is schaamrood voor woorden voor Honda , volgend jaar komen ze met een nieuwe motor concept dus ze beginnen weer op 0 , het zal zeker een betere jaar worden 2016 anders zullen koppen lollen naar voorbeeld van I.S.

      Het slaat erop dat het aantal motoren beperkt moet worden om de kosten te drukken. Ze zitten nu te mekkeren dat die motoren 20 tot 30 miljoen per jaar kosten, maar een paar jaar geleden ging nog 80% van het budget van een middenveld team op aan de motoren. Elke race gingen er toen meerdere motoren doorheen.

      Om dus de allergrootste kostenpost aan te pakken is toen besloten dat ze er wat minder moeten gebruiken. Voor het racen maakt het verder toch niet zoveel uit.

      Dat Honda nou niet in staat is om gewoon een motor te bouwen die heel blijft is geen fout van de regels. Mercedes en Ferrari kunnen het namelijk wel. Honda en Renault krijgen het ooit ook heus wel voor elkaar.

      @F1VANDAAG: onbegrijpelijk verhaal, koppen lollen naar voorbeeld I.S.? Prima als je wat post, maar dit is bedroevend.

      Niks mis met de opmerking 'koppen lollen naar voorbeeld van I.S.'' Zijn jullie van de zedenpolitie ofzo, vrijheid blijheid als het om humor gaat graag maar wel met respect op persoonlijk vlak.
