Indonesische regering stelt alles in het werk voor F1-stoeltje Haryanto

Vorige maand dook er een bericht op dat de Indonesische regering een overeenkomst had gesloten met Manor Marussia voor een stoeltje voor Rio Haryanto. De deal is nog niet rond, maar de Indonesische regering lijkt hoog in te zetten op het helpen van Haryanto. Haryanto was de afgelopen jaren actief in de GP2 en kwam eerder deze maand in actie voor Manor Marussia bij de bandentest van Pirelli op het Yas Marina-circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Haryanto zou volgens bronnen in Indonesië zestien miljoen dollar aan sponsorgeld moeten hebben om het stoeltje bij Manor Marussia te krijgen. Een derde van het budget is reeds bij elkaar, Haryanto wordt al jaren gesteund door de Indonesische oliemaatschappij Pertamina. Er is dus nog zeker tien miljoen nodig.

De Indonesische regering weet dat er haast geboden is, aangezien er meer kapers op de kust zijn voor het stoeltje. Will Stevens reed afgelopen seizoen bijna alle races voor het team en hoopt op een vervolg. Ook hij is afhankelijk van de steun van zijn sponsoren. De rol van Roberto Merhi lijkt uitgespeeld. Merhi heeft nauwelijks sponsorgeld en de races die hij in 2015 mocht rijden waren al een grote bonus voor hem. Alexander Rossi lijkt ook goed in het zadel te zitten. De Amerikaan maakte geen slechte indruk in de vijf races die hij reed voor het achterhoedeteam. Daarnaast is DTM-kampioen Pascal Wehrlein ook nog een gedagigde voor een zitje.

Hopelijk begrijpen de fans dat een team als Manor naar voor probeert te geraken door nieuwe motoren en onderdelen te kopen, maar dat ze dat natuurlijk moeten betalen en als de huidige nummer 4 van de GP2 dat op tafel wil leggen, dat ze dat moeten aannemen, zodat ze nog een talent een kans kunnen ... Hopelijk begrijpt Manor dat het tijd wordt voor echte coureurs want anders bungelen ze weer een seizoen achteraan..zelfs met de beste motor van het veld.

ik begrijp dat niet helemaal vooral omdat Haryanto met een Monegaskische licentie rijdt. of valt dit zo te veranderen?

  Volgens mij is het hele team niet gestart. Dus hij heeft alle races voor het team gereden. Als de zin "Will Stevens reed afgelopen seizoen bijna alle races en hoopt op een vervolg." zou zijn, dan zou het kloppen.
