Max Verstappen en vriendin getuige van enorme hotelbrand in Dubai

Nu het Formule 1-seizoen voorbij is genieten de meeste Formule 1-coureurs van een welverdiende vakantie. Zo ook onze landgenoot Max Verstappen. Verstappen bracht Oud & Nieuw door in Dubai met zijn vriendin Mikaela. De oudejaarsavond van het stel werd echter opgeschrikt door een enorme brand in een hotel vlakbij het restaurant waar Verstappen samen met zijn vriendin zat te eten. Vader Jos Verstappen laat vanuit Dubai aan De Telegraaf weten dat ze niet in gevaar zijn geweest. 

Verstappen en Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinksky zaten te eten in een restaurant, toen er op 150 meter brand uitbrak in een nabijgelegen hotel. Binnen de kortste keren stond het gebouw in lichterlaaie. De vriendin van Verstappen laat weten dat ze ongedeerd zijn gebleven en op het moment van de brand veilig naar hun eigen hotel zijn teruggekeerd. 

Er zouden geen gewonden zijn gevallen bij de brand en de festiviteiten in Dubai rond Oud & Nieuw gingen gewoon verder. Jos Verstappen laat het volgende weten: "We zaten net te dineren toen er brand uitbrak in het hotel dat 150 meter bij ons restaurant vandaan was. We merkten vrij snel dat het ernstig was en zijn meteen terug gegaan naar ons hotel. We zijn veilig aangekomen in het hotel en hebben de brand goed vanuit het raam kunnen zijn. Het was wel even schrikken."

    Nou... dat is dan 3 x vuurwerk voor max op en,van oud naar nieuw...
    Eerst die brand...later het grote vuurwerk...later..Mikae.....
    Maar , ja je moet er dan ook wel voor naar Dubai vliegen...
