Jolyon Palmer viert vandaag zijn 25ste verjaardag

Lotus/Renault-coureur Jolyon Palmer is vandaag jarig. De Brit mag 25 kaarsjes op zijn verjaardagstaart uitblazen. Palmer is vooralsnog de enige debutant in het Formule 1-veld voor 2016. Hij veroverde in 2014 de titel in de GP2 en bracht vorig jaar door als reserverijder bij Lotus.

Naast Palmer zijn er ook twee oud Formule 1-coureurs jarig. Norberto Fontana, een Argentijn die in 1997 vier Grands Prix voor Sauber afwerkte, viert vandaag zijn 41ste verjaardag. Giorgio Bassi, een Italiaan die in 1965 één Grand Prix reed, heeft de respectabele leeftijd van 81 jaar bereikt.

De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Palmer, Fontana en Bassi.
