Wehrlein kiest 94 als startnummer in Formule 1

Pascal Wehrlein heeft laten weten dat hij inderdaad met 94 als startnummer zal rondrijden tijdens zijn eerste jaar in de Formule 1. De 21-jarige Duitser is eerder vandaag bevestigd als coureur bij Manor Racing. Hij maakte afgelopen seizoen in de DTM ook al gebruik van startnummer 94.

Wehrlein legde uit: "Ik zal in de Formule 1 net als in de DTM in 2015 met het nummer 94 rijden. Dat is alleen omdat ik in 1994 geboren ben, meer zit er niet achter." De nieuwe auto van Manor Racing, de MRT05, ligt op schema om vanaf 22 februari deel te nemen aan de eerste test in Barcelona.
