Geen dieet meer voor Bottas

Williams- coureur Valtteri Bottas is een van de coureurs die zich niet aan een speciaal dieet houden. “Ik eet nu meer dan alleen maar droge sla”, lacht hij tegenover het Finse MTV.

Daniel Ricciarco moest van Red Bull vijf kilo afvallen, terwijl Torro Rorro’s Carlos Sainz juist zegt uit te kijken dat coureurs niet zo licht worden dat het ongezond is. “We moeten fit zijn en dun voor ons werk, maar we moeten niet extreem mager zijn.”

Volgens Bottas is hij nu uitstekend in vorm en beter voorbereid dan andere jaren. “2014 was een lastig jaar qua gewicht vanwege de nieuwe power unit in de auto, maar dat is nu geen issue meer. Ik ben erg fit en op een goed gewicht.”

Kan aan mij liggen, maar ik vind Bottas juist 1 van de coureurs die er het zwaarste uit ziet. Beetje vierkant bijna. Als ik hiernaast de "specs" van Bottas lees dan weegt ie ook 70kg op 1.73m, Button is bv 10cm langer, en maar 2kg zwaarder, en Max is 7cm langer en even zwaar.
