Fernando Alonso op tussenstop in Azerbeidzjan

Fernando Alonso brengt vandaag en morgen door in Azerbeidzjan, dit jaar voor het eerst gastheer van een Formule 1-race. Op 19 juni vindt in de straten van Bakoe de Grand Prix van Europa plaats en de Spanjaard heeft zich als ambassadeur aan dat evenement verbonden. In die hoedanigheid brengt hij deze week een bliksembezoek aan Azerbeidzjan om de vorderingen op de nieuwste Grand Prix-locatie met eigen ogen te aanschouwen.

  Nee kinderkopjes liggen er nog. Oude centrum van Baku staat volgens mij zelfs op unesco wereld erfgoed lijst. Over de kinderkopjes hebben ze eerst zand gelegd, gewalst en dan pas het asfalt. Geen idee hoe lang dat blijft liggen als ze ook in 2017 en later nog willen racen in Baku ?
