Max bestuurt 'Catcher Car' bij Wings for Life Run

Op zondag 8 mei start op 34 locaties over heel de wereld tegelijkertijd de Wings for Life World Run, de enige wedstrijd waar de finishlijn de deelnemers achtervolgt. Hardlopers en deelnemers in een rolstoel, van beginners tot topsporters, racen naast elkaar met als doel voor de 'Catcher Car' te blijven, die steeds dichterbij komt.

Die bewegende finishlijn, de Catcher Car, wordt die dag in Breda bestuurd door Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Max Verstappen, meldt Verstappen.nl. Het doel is uiteraard om het onvermijdelijke moment dat je wordt ingehaald zo lang mogelijk uit te stellen en dus zoveel mogelijk kilometers af te leggen. Het inschrijfgeld van de deelnemers gaat naar het goede doel, namelijk naar het onderzoek naar aandoeningen aan het ruggenmerg. Kijk hier voor meer informatie over de Wings for Life Run.
